Westernport Bay is Victoria’s second largest bay and home to a wide variety of animals including Australian fur seals, whales and dolphins as well as seabirds and migratory waders.

Many species of fish are found in the waters of Westernport Bay, including; Snapper, Salmon, Flathead, Trevally, Gummy Sharks, Whiting, Leatherjackets, Mullets and Squid.

The bay is known best for its two closest islands; Phillip Island and French Island.
